Sterling Gtake E-mobility bags Rs 60 cr order from electric two-wheeler maker

Sterling Gtake E-mobility Ltd (SGEM), a manufacturer of motor control units for electric vehicles, on Wednesday said it has bagged an order worth Rs 60 crore from a leading electric two-wheeler maker. The company said it is also in advanced stages of discussions with over 20 electric vehicle (EV) manufacturers for supply of motor control units (MCUs) for different vehicle types, including two-wheelers, three-wheelers, passenger vehicles and commercial vehicles.

TVS Motor sales rise to 2,51,886 units in June

on Thursday reported a 51 per cent jump in sales to 2,51,886 units in June, against 1,66,889 units in May this year.

Total two-wheeler dispatches to dealerships were at 2,38,092 units last month, compared to 1,54,416 units in May 2021, TVS Motor Company said in a statement.

Motorcycle sales last month stood at 1,46,874 units as against 1,25,188 units in May this year.

Auto retail sales drop 55 per cent in May as COVID puts break on vehicle registrations

Automobile retail sales in the country declined by 55 per cent in May as compared to April this year as lockdowns across various states amid second wave of the coronavirus pandemic hit vehicle registrations, automobile dealers’ body FADA said on Thursday.
