In a boost to India’s textile exports, the Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved the continuation of the Rebate of State and Central taxes and Levies (RoSCTL) scheme on exports of garments and made-ups till March 31, 2024. This will provide a level playing field to exporters and boost Indian textile exports and make these products globally competitive by rebating all embedded taxes which are currently not being rebated under any other mechanism, the government said.
